Useful Tools

Below are all the services I have personally used and found to be excellent, reliable and I highly recommend them. This is especially important when it comes to buying instruments as there are many dealers out there who from experience, may not be completely scrupulous.

For obvious reasons this may not always continue to be the case as business change hands etc. If you have a negative experience when using my recommendations, please let me know by completing my FEEDBACK form.

I would also love to hear of services that you may have used and found to be outstanding so that I can share them on my site. Alternatively you may just want to know a little more about my personal experiences with the services listed below.

 MUSIC COURSES

1. Fantasia Music School

I started Fantasia Music School when I was 18 years old. I had wonderful experiences on holiday music courses as a child and still have friends today that I made on those courses. There is something so special about a group of people coming together in a holiday atmosphere to share their love of music, and I wanted to pass on to other children the sense of joy, community and creativity that I experienced as a developing musician.'

3. The National Schools Symphony Orchestra, Young NSSO & National Schools Jazz Orchestra

The National Schools Symphony Orchestra is one of the finest youth orchestras in the United Kingdom. With members aged 13 to 19, NSSO aims to bridge the difficult waters between our excellent county youth orchestras or leading school orchestras and the hallowed ranks of the National Youth Orchestra or, indeed, professional orchestras.

The Young National Schools Symphony Orchestra, which made its highly successful debut in 2011, is the new wing of this vibrant and fun organisation. Like NSSO, it aims to provide the opportunity to play real orchestral repertoire but for children up to the age of 13. Adopting a similar mixture of full orchestra, full sectional and individual instrumental sectional coaching, Young NSSO members have unrivalled support, gain confidence and enjoy the opportunities of playing together both on and off the concert platform.
